65′ – Chilufya needlessly earns DRC a corner kick on the right after failing to clear properly a high ball. DRC take a poor kick.
63′ – Mudiada heads the ball straight into the palms of keeper Banda for Zambia after meeting a cross from Luezi’s cross from the right.
61′ – Daka’s header kept out by DRC’s keeper’s finger tip save. From the resultant corner kick, DRC clear the ball.
58′ – Sakala takes matters into his own hands, charges into DRC’s territory from the left and releases a grass cutter which DRC’s keeper keeps out for a corner kick. Keeper receives treatment after injuring himself at the near post.
52′ – Phiri sprints into Zambia’s 18-yard box in a counter attack but DRC keeper grabs the ball in second attempt.
50′ – Zambia sub: Zambia’s Sakulanda out, in comes Joseph Phiri in an attacking move
49′ – Yellow card to Zambia’s Musonda for fouling his opponent.
48′ – Yellow card to Zambia’s Sakala for fouling advancing Luezi, who takes free kick. Zambia keeper Banda drops ball after an attempted save, but his defenders come to the rescue.

45+3′ – DRC’s Kuamanbu volleys over the bar on the turn after Zambia commit another basic mistake of allowing a ball to bounce outside the 18-yard box.
45′ – Yellow card to DRC’S Mujinga who fouls Musonda on the right.
41′ – GOAL! Chadrack Lukombe volleys in an equaliser for DRC after Zambia clear poorly! 1-1!
37′ – GOAL! Fashion Sakala finally breaches DRC’s defence after Daka had intercepted a ball outside the 18-yard box to release Sakala who slots past keeper Kamalanduaka. Deserved lead for Zambia.
35′ – Yellow card to Zambia’s Mwepu for a foul on DRC’s Yamba. DRC’s Kazadi takes a short free kick to Sita wide on the left who chips the ball onto the roof of the net.
33′ – Daka outpaces Yamba on the right. Ball is cleared out for yet another corner. Nyondo arrives late to meet the ball which is deflected out for yet another corner kick. DRC survive somehow.
32′ – Sakulanda earns Zambia a corner kick after his goal-bound attempt is deflected out by Yamba at the near post. DRC have the numbers to clear the ball away.
29′ – Zulu of DRC brings down Daka on the right to earn Zambia a free-kick. Mayembe overlaps but is caught offside as he is about to pull the trigger.
26′ – DRC win their first corner but Yamba fails to do justice to Lukombe’s delivery from the left as he heads the ball into the sky.
23′ – Kazadi fouls Zambia’s advancing striker Daka, who got onto the end of a flicked header but the referee says there is no penalty in the box.
21′ – Chilufya caught off-side after Zambia had turned DRC’s attack into their own counter-attack.
19′ – Zambia are playing an open game whereas DRC are playing on the counter-attack.
16′ – Zambia launch counterattack, Daka plays the ball across the goal mouth of DRC, Sakala arrives in the box to volley into the net but the effort is ruled out for an offside!
13′ – Mudiada wins a free-kick for DRC in Zambia’s half close to the halfway line, but there is no meaningful attempt on target.
10′ – Zambia are making in-roads into DRC territory especially on the right wing. Musonda fires a long shot which lacks power as it sails wide of the goal posts.
8′ – Chilufya tumbles in the box but referee ignores Zambia’s penalty appeals as the ball goes out for a corner-kick on the right. Zambia take the corner but towering DRC players clear the danger.
5′ – Zambia win their first corner from the left. Sakulanda sends a high one into the box but Mayembe heads over the bar. Balanced affair.
2′ – DRC’s Kuamanbu cuts inside from the right wing, plays the ball but arriving Mujinga is unfortunate not to score from a tight angle where Zambia goalkeeper Banda makes a double save before Mayembe clears the ball. Zambia should be alert.
