South Africa vs Angola

90 min: Referee, Seechurn Rajindraparsad blows to end this electric encounter between South Africa and Angola.

It is a result that obviously brings a smile on South African coaches, Khabonia Zondo and Simon Mngomane who have been under media attacks in South africa and elsewhere for bringing what football pundits have described as a second string side.

The second string side has proved beyond reasonable doubt that they
can carry South Africa's 2010 World cup hopes only when they are kept
together and given more time to train and jell together.

South Africa's 2-0 victory comes courtesy of hard work by Joseph
Makhanya and Oupa Manyisa upfront who kept the Angolan defence up on
its toes.

The man of the match for this encounter is awarded a maniature trophy
by guest of honour, COSAFA president, Suketu Patel, to Warren Bishop.

80th minute: GOAL South Africa 2-0 up after a hard fought goal by Oupa Manyisa.

He defied all the attempts to stop him from glory by means of pulling him down. Manyisa was so strong that he stood firm, guided his ball
and got rid of the Angolans. After getting rid of the last man standing, Angolan central defender, Alfredo Kalundanga, Manyisa slid a shot past a diving Moises Jose of Angola to make it two-nil for his side, effectively burying the hopes of an Angolan comeback bid into this game.

74th min: On the other side of the action, South Africa's Lenox Bacela's blinder of a shot is saved by Angolan goalkeeper, Moises Jose.

73 min: Angolan Osvaldo Candeia heads his effort straight into the hands of South African goalkeeper Jacob Mokhasi as the Angolans
desperately seen an equalizer.

in the midst of a golamouth melee to compensate for his hard running that he has been doing for the better part of the afternoon.

59 min: Referee Rajindraparsad flashes the first yellow card of the day to Angola's Alfredo Kalundanga for a tackle on South Africa's Oupa Manyisa.

sustaining an injury.

49 min: Makhanya is brought down outside the box, wins South
Africa a free kick which is pushed out for a corner kick. Angola clear
the ball from danger and heave anotehr sigh of relief.

46 min: The second half in the South Africa/ Angola match gets underway with South Africa attempting to find the targets early enough
but the efforts seem not to be paying dividends.

Referee Rajindrparsad blows to end the first 45 minutes of action at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo with South Africa and Angola tied at
nil all. It has been a match full of pace as South Africa have been plotting raids on the Angolans, with Makhanya, Manyisa, and Manqoba
Ngwenya giving the Angolans a torrid time in defence.

On the other side, Angola has been using the availability of Ivans Joanes, and Armandio Costa to go for the glory.

The second half appears to be one full of pressure and tension as both
sides seek the all-important goal(s) that would propel them to the
semi-finall of this year's Council of Southern African Football
Association (COSAFA) Senior Men's Challenge.

43 min: Angola builds up another attack but Moises Armandos's hurried shot goes over the cross bar, much to the chagrin of the fans who appeared to have switched alligiance from South Africa to Angola.

42 min: Angolan goalkeeper, Moises Jose is forced to make a maginficent save after Makhanya had gone for glory. Makhanya fails to have the second bite of the cherry from Jose's punch.

41 min: Angola come close to scoring but Antonio Justo's shot goes
wide of target.

39 min: South Africa's flow of football is disturbed as they
lose the rhythm of the match, failing to put together complete moves
as most of their passes go astray.

Africa are forced to shift their allgiance as Angola also display bits of exciting football.

the box as Angola launch another raid through Joanes- amove that is swept to safety by South Africa.

13 min: Angola get the fair share of the cherry, raiding the South African goal area but are stopped by the Godwin Shitolo, Warren
Bishop, and Keamohetse Wolff marshalled defence.

12 min: South Africa running riot, putting their Angolan opponents into more of defensive positioning as Joseph makhanya, running hard on the right flank combines well with Manqoba ngwenya on the left flank.

02 mins: The South Africa versus Angola encounter kicks off with goal-hungry South Africans raiding the Angolan goal area with Oupa
Manyisa's shot being saved by the Angolan goalkeeper.
