BOTSWANA IN STUNNING WIN

A first-half goal from Jerome Ramatlhakwane handed COSAFA hopefuls Botswana a shock 1-0 away win over Tunisia at the start of the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

The 33rd minute goal marked the biggest win yet in official competition for the lowly-ranked southern African nation against a team who narrowly failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cop finals.

It was a horror start for the new Tunisia coach Bertrand Marchand, appointed last month as the north Africans sought to rebuild their side after just losing out to Nigeria last November in their bid to qualify for the tournament in South Africa.
It leaves the Zebras top of Group K after one round of fixtures, as Togo drew 2-2 with Chad in the other fixture. COSAFA side malawi are the other team in the group, and they will kick-off their campaign with an away trip to Togo on June 9, while Botswana host Chad on the same day.
