BAFANA JUMP UP RANKINGSSouth Africa have moved back to the top in the COSAFA region after the release of the latest FIFA World Rankings on Wednesday. Bafana Bafana have moved above Zambia in first following their good showing at the 2010 FIFA World Cup on home soil. Carlos Alberto Parreira's men recording a 2-1 victory over France in their final Group A match, which followed a 1-1 draw with Mexico in their opener. Their current ranking of 66 is their best since August 2007 and they have also moved into the number 12 position on the African continent. South Africa were not the biggest movers amongst the COSAFA teams though. Botswana's excellent 1-0 win in Tunisia, followed by a 1-0 home success over Chad in their 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers saw them jump a massive 23 places in the rankings to number 93 in the world and sixth in the COSAFA region.
