BODUNHA OUT OF SQUAD

Angolan coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves has dropped veteran defender Bodunha from his squad for this weekend’s Cosafa Castle Cup match against Namibia because of alleged indiscipline, the Angolan Football Federation said.
Bodunha, who plays for Portuguese second division club FC Maia, missed a flight to Ghana last week for a friendly international in Accra. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Goncalves named just three foreign-based players for Sunday’s first round match in the annual southern African championship. They are Kali of Santa Clara, Rats from Felgueiras in Portugal and Gilberto from Egyptian club Al Ahli.
Angola had hoped to call up any more but club commitments have ruled out the likes of captain Akwa and the country’s new star forward Marco Paulo from Portuguese club Estoril.
Sunday’s game is the last in the first round of this year’s southern African championship. The winner joins Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe (holders) in the quarterfinal, to be conducted in Luanda at the end of Sunday’s game.
