MAMBAS CALL UP PORTUGAL TRIO
Benfica defender Armando Sa plus two other key players from Portugal are to play for Mozambique in next month’s Cosafa Castle Cup match against Malawi, coach Ayman Elyamany said on Tuesday. The others are Sporting Lisbon fullback Paito and the veteran defender Jojo, who competes for Sporting Espinho in the Portuguese second division. The match against Malawi will be played in Maputo on June 13 and is the first of the quarter-finals matches in this year’s southern African championship. Armando last played for Mozambique when they lost to Guinea in the preliminary round of the 2006 World Cup qualifiers last November.
