VETERAN MTAWALI IN MALAWI SQUAD

Malawi have recalled the 38-year-old midfielder Ernest Mtawali to their squad for the World Cup qualifier against Morocco in Blantyre on Saturday, the Football Association of Malawi said on Monday.
Mtawali, who plays at Ajax Cape Town in South Africa, made his debut for Malawi almost 21 years ago at the age of 17 in a Nations Cup qualifier against Madagascar in August, 1983.
Officials said the midfielder had been called up after public demand for his inclusion. He will be one six foreign-based players in the 20-man squad for the group five match.
Malawi will be unusually coach by a trio of officials – John Kaputa, Kinnah Phiri and Dave Mpesi – for the game.
