COSAFA BEST PLAYER MOVES TO BELGIUM
Zimbabwean striker Brian Badza, who was named the Cosafa Castle Cup player of the series and won himself a cheque for R20 000, has clinched a two-year deal with Belgian side Germinal Beerschot.
Badza said: "I have secured a two-year contract with Germinal Beerschot and I will be leaving on Thursday at the 3pm. A number of clubs from South Africa wanted to sign me which include Kaizer Chiefs and Umtata Bush Bucks. There is another club but I don’t know which one because (CAPS United coach) Charlie (Mhlauri) is the one who was negotiating with them. But I will be going to Belgium and I’m very happy to have secured a move like this."
Badza will join his compatriot Cephas Chimedza who was signed from Zimbabwe champions CAPS United in June.
