BAFANA TO PLAY EGYPT FRIENDLY
South Africa are to play hosts Egypt in a friendly match a week before the start of the African Nations Cup finals, officials said on Friday.
Egypt will host South Africa in a friendly match in Cairo on January 14, which is six days before the opening game of the tournament.
Egypt play in Group A at the tournament and have bene drawn with the Ivory Coast, Libya and Morocco while South Africa are paired with Guinea, Tunisia and Zambia in Group B, which is to be played in Alexandria.
It will be the first match for the new South African coach expected to be named on Monday since the resignation of Englishman Stuart Baxter on Tuesday.
