ANGOLA CHOSE HANNOVER AS THEIR WORLD CUP HEADQUARTERS
Angola are to base their team at next year’s World Cup in Hannover, the country’s football federation said on Tuesday.
Angolan officials have chosen the city as the most convenient from which to base their team for matches in Group D where they face Portugal, Mexico and Iran.
Their second game against Mexico on June 16 will be played in Hannover.
Angola open their World Cup campaign against former colonial power Portugal in Cologne on June 11 and play their last group game against Iran in Leipzig on June 21.
