SWAZI CAPTAIN IS SUSPENDED
FIFA have suspended Swaziland captain Denis Masina, whose proposed move back to his former South African club SuperSport United comes without the permission of his Belgian club KV Mechelen, with whom he still has a one-year contract.
Mechelen, who are in the second division, had sought a successfully halt to Masina’s move and are demanding he returns to see out the last year of his three year deal.
FIFA have suspended him at the request of the Belgian club until he does so.
But Masina told the Times of Swaziland he had no intention of going back to Belgium, where he says he earns less than he would at the South African-based team.
