Zambia will have captain Elijah Tana back in their squad for the weekend’s Cosafa Castle Cup final after their missed their recent loss to South Africa in the MTN Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifiers.
Tana, who has recently signed a one-year contract at United Arab Emirates club Al Jazeera, is one of three key foreign-based players available for the regional competition decider against World Cup finalists Angola in Lusaka on Saturday.
Coach Patrick Phiri has also been able to call up defender Billy Mwanza, whose red card in the South African premier league last week means he is suspended from playing for Lamontville Golden Arrows but can compete for his country.
Phiri also named Chris Katongo, the top goal scorer in the South African league whose club Jomo Cosmos have a bye at the weekend, in his 22-man squad on Tuesday.
Zambia have lost in the last two finals of the annual southern African championship.
