NDLOVU BACK FOR ZIMBABWE

Former Coventry City striker Peter Ndlovu has won a recall to Zimbabwe’s national side just months after doctors said a series of knee injuries would prematurely end his career.
Ndlovu, who now plays in South Africa for champions Mamelodi Sundowns, has been named in his country’s squad for a friendly against Namibia in Harare on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old Ndlovu has battled over the last year with a serious of knee injuries.
At the start of the season, club officials said it was unlikely to would be able to make a successful return but Ndlovu, who also played in England at Sheffield United and Birmingham City, has made enough of a recovery to return to his country’s’ national side.
Zimbabwe have also called up Portsmouth forward Benjani Mwaruwari and Polish-born defender Dickson Choto for the match at the Rufaro stadium, officials said.
