Newcastle United midfielder Matty Pattison has withdrawn from South Africa’s squad for Wednesday’s international with Egypt because of a knee injury.
The 20-year-old Pattison has been called up for the first time for the match at Griffin Park in London.
Pattison, born in Johannesburg but who left for Britain while still a child, made his Newcastle debut at the end of last season.
