PEDROTO SIGNS FOR PETRO ATLETICO

Portuguese coach Bernardino Pedroto, who quit former Angolan champions AS Aviacao just days ago, has taken up a new role as technical director at rivals Petro Atletico.
Pedroto, who won three successive three GiraBola titles in 2002, 2003 and 2004 with the airline club, will work at all level of the club but will not coach the first team. That job remains with the Brazilian Djalma Cavalcante, who will lead Petro in their upcoming MTN CAF Champions League campaign.
Pedroto, a former coach of Vitoria Guimaraes in his native Portugal, left ASA after being told that the club’s precarious financial situation would mean the sale of key players and a limited budget for new purchases ahead of the start of the new season next month.
