MANO’S EARLY STRIKE FOR MAMBAS

Mozambique surprised their Burkina Faso hosts with an early goal and went on to win an away point in their MTN Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Ouagadougou on Saturday night.
The Mambas took just two minutes to open the scoring though Mano in the first game for their new Dutch coach Maart Nooij, who had previously worked in Burkina Faso.
But Burkina Faso’s Etalons equalised in the 26th minute through the German-based Jonathan Pitroipa, whose goal was set by right midfielder Saidou Madi Panandetiguiri.
Pitroipia hit the Mozambican woodwork 15 minutes from the end but the dropped points have allowed Senegal to take command of the group.
