MADAGASCAR NAME NEW COACH

Former French Ligue 1 player Herve Arsene has been named as the new coach of Madagascar, the Malagasy Football Federation said on Friday.
Arsene’s appointment comes a week before Madagascar compete in the Cosafa Castle Cup mini tournament in Mozambique, where they have a semifinal match against Zimbabwe on Saturday, April 28
The 43-year-old Arsene played over 200 matches for Racing Lens in Ligue 1 after being signed from a club on the French Indian Ocean island of Reunion.
Earlier this year he served as an assistant to the French coach Jean Paul Rossignol, who was fired after Madagascar lost 3-0 to the Ivory Coast in an African Nations Cup qualifier last month.
