Namibia have named six foreign-based players in an 18-man squad for next weekend’s Cosafa Castle Cup mini tournament in Botswana.
Namibia meet their hosts in the second semifinal on Saturday, July 28 at the National stadium in Gaborone.
Their squad includes the German-based midfielder Oliver Risser and the exciting striker Meraai Swartbooi from Angolan champions Primeiro Agosto.
Namibia have also include the veteran Robert Nauseb, who first played for Namibia in the final of the first edition of the annual southern African championship 10 years ago.
Former goalkeeper Ronnie Kanalelo will act as caretaker coach in place of the Zambian Ben Bamfuchile, who is off ill.
Three time Cosafa Castle Cup winners Angola play Lesotho in the first of the semifinal matches on Saturday.
