Angolan international Maurito, who missed out on last year’s World Cup finals because of injury, has gone on trial in France.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who played at the 2006 MTN Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt, recently returned from injury for Angola’s Palancas Negras.
He has been at Olympique Marseille, who turned down the chance to sign Maurito, currently on the books at Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.
He is now spending a week at Ligue 2 club Montpellier where he hopes to win a contract before the deadline closes on Friday.
