Egyptian-based winger Gilberto has been recalled to the Angola squad for the first time since the serious Achilles tendon injury he suffered in early 2006.
Gilberto, who helped holders Al Ahli qualify for the MTN CAF Champions League semifinals on Sunday, is included in a 24-man squad for the MTN Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi on Saturday.
Gilberto suffered the injury in a friendly against Morocco in January 2006 and was out of action for 18 months, including missing out on the World Cup finals in Germany.
Angola have already qualified for the MTN Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ghana in January.
